Blues to face Blackhawks in 2025 Winter Classic at Wrigley Field

CHICAGO – For the second time in four years and the third time in a decade, the St. Louis Blues will compete in the NHL’s premier outdoor event known as the Winter Classic.

The Blues have not yet confirmed their participation, but reports from The Athletic, The Chicago Sun Times and others state it will be a Blues matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks at Wrigley Field.

The Blues also went head-to-head with the Blackhawks in the 2017 Winter Classic, hosting the event at Busch Stadium and winning 4-1.

In 2022, the Blues faced the Minnesota Wild in the Winter Classic, winning 6-4 in a game considered to be one of the coldest outdoor sporting events ever in North America.

This is a developing story. FOX 2 will update as more information becomes available.
