Storms near St. Louis through Thursday

ST. LOUIS — Cloudy skies to start our Wednesday with spots of light rain around. Scattered showers are expected through the day, with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Be ready for the chance of showers during today’s daytime baseball game, though I don’t think it will be a washout.

Scattered showers are expected to become steady rain this evening, which will continue overnight and through the Thursday morning drive. Some rumbles of thunder are possible, but no severe weather is expected – just a lot of rain.

As the steady rain pulls away to the east Thursday, scattered showers will linger through the day with gusty winds. Highs in the low 60s. By the time we dry out Thursday evening, the region will have seen one to two inches of rainfall. The highest rain totals are expected east and south of metro St. Louis.

Sunshine returns Friday but it will still be breezy, highs in the mid 60s.  Sunny, breezy, and warmer Saturday, highs near 80.
