ST. LOUIS—Two individuals have has died in a shooting incident that occurred a block away from the Grove. Just before 1 a.m. this morning, law enforcement officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his chest at Acro and Newstead. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
During the investigation by homicide detectives at the scene, another grim discovery was made—a 37-year-old woman was found shot and killed inside a residence near Gibson Avenue.
Authorities are actively investigating the incidents and suspect that these two deaths are linked. Currently, no suspects have been arrested, as confirmed by dispatchers.
