‘The Leaf’ a ratty roadster, a prewar car build, part sixteen

welcome to part fourteen of ‘the leaf’ a prewar car build

I want to build a 1930’s super reliable daily driver, I have a 1936 Austin 12 rolling frame , a 1927 to 1933 Lea Francis roadster dicky body and radiator and for power a 1800 cc Isuzu petrol engine with a 5 speed gearbox..hopefully this will be a very straight forward build and with luck shouldn’t take too long, I will be documenting what this costs as we go along but needless to say I will be using INGENUITY OVER BUCKS….

to start this week a trip to the pub in ‘the rat’ then home for lots of drilling and welding, I also fabricate an alternator bracket and mount the electric fan for the radiator

music this week from my pals sixteen_string_jack
and from the brilliant Mr Jim Hammond….jimhammondofficialmusic
