ST. LOUIS – Rain and storms are on the move this morning from west to east. Non-severe storms but pockets of heavy rain, flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder.

Some gusty winds upwards of 50 MPH can be expected. All associated with another front moving in today which will be the main piece for tranquil weather into the weekend.

Rain and a few storms continue through noon as it works east into Illinois. The skies clear behind the front later this afternoon, temperatures cool slightly and drier air flushes in.

A nicer end to the workweek with quiet weather and abundant sunshine. We will watch for a spot rain shower on Saturday, but many remain dry through next week.
