ST. LOUIS – Getting rid of tires. That was the goal at Saturday’s tire amnesty day event in St. Louis.
The city says that illegal dumping of tires is becoming a problem around the city, including the dumping of tires on streets, lots and alleys. All of those actions are illegal in St. Louis.
Tire amnesty day is a way to encourage the community about environmental stewardship.
