Weak storms moved through overnight and made their exit before 6 am. Rain totals were minimal. Temperatures will be slightly cooler making it only into the low 90s today.
Heat and humidity picks up Monday and Tuesday. The heat index will hit 100+ both days.
The next round of storms will arrive Tuesday night and exit Wednesday morning.
Remember the heat safety tips as we move through these hot summer days:
Drink plenty of water.
Take breaks in the A.C.
Never leave anyone in cars unattended.
Check on those without A.C.
Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
Don’t exercise outdoors during the afternoon.
