ST. LOUIS – Father’s Day is coming up on Sunday, June 16 and for some, deciding how to celebrate dad can be difficult. Instead of debating on the perfect gift, spend some quality time with dad and make new memories at these local St. Louis Father’s Day events.
“The Dad Games” at Dave and Buster’s St. Louis
Bring the whole family out to Dave and Buster’s in Maryland Heights on Father’s Day and experience their first-ever “Dad games.” The games begin at noon and tickets must be purchased in order to play. Tickets vary between $34 and $48 per ticket.
Your ticket includes entry to “The Dad Games” competition and access to an appetizer banquet with baked cheeseburger sliders, flatbread cheese pizza and a variety of appetizers. Ticket holders will also get unlimited soft drinks and a $20 “Power Card.”
Dad’s will also receive unlimited video game play all day. Winners of the games also receive free arcade game play for an entire year.
Dad’s Get-in-Free at City Museum
The City Museum is gifting dad’s, grandpa’s and great-grandpa’s free general admission on June 16. They are hosting Father’s Day activities such as a dad-themed craft project and dad’s can even stop by their patio on “MonstroCity” for barbecue.
The 1st and 3rd floor of the museum will feature a City Museum Pilsner and the new City Museum Hard Seltzer from 4 Hands Brewing. This deal includes up to one free general admission tickets per paid admission. General admission tickets at the City Museum vary around $20 per tickets.
Horseless Carriage and Early Ford Model’s Car Show
The National Museum of Transportation in Keyes Summit, off Barrett Station Rd., is hosting their annual Father’s Day Horseless Carriage Car Show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Museum admission applies to the car show. Adult tickets are $16 and include trolley rides, if operating at the time of the show. Kids between ages 2 and 12 get in for $8.
“Duets with Dad” Father’s Day Experience
For dad’s with a love of music, treat them to a night of musical performances at the Sheldon Concert Hall in downtown St. Louis. “Duets with Dad” featuring Brian Owens and his dad, Thomas Owens, went viral online for their rendition of “A Change is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. They will also perform their debut album, “Forever Young.”
Doors open at 5 p.m., and tickets can be purchased online at metrotix.com. Prices vary from $36 for balcony general admission to $46 for orchestra general admission. VIP tickets have sold out.
Father’s Day Comedy Jam
If your dad likes a good laugh, Laughter Is Good Productions is hosting a Father’s Day Comedy Jam at the Polish Heritage Center in downtown St. Louis. The show features comedians such as Darius Bradford and live music.
The comedy jam is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Father’s Day and tickets are $23.50 to $35.50 on eventbrite.com
Brunch Cruise with Hakuna Matata Boat Tours
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Father’s Day, Hakuna Matata Boat Tours in Graton, Il will treat dad’s and their families to a brunch for $50 per person. The cruise will take you down the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers while feasting on their menu featuring fried chicken, barbecue pork steak and Au Gratin potatoes.
Father’s Day Dinner at Lemp Mansion
The Lemp Mansion Restaurant and Inn is hosting their Father’s Day Dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. calling it a “unique experience, for the unique dad.” This family-style dinner suggests calling ahead to make reservations at 314-664-8024
