St. Louis father charged in death of four-month-old child

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis father faces felony charges over the death of his four-month-old child earlier this week.

Prosecutors with the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office have charged Jordan Greene, 20, with abuse of a child resulting in death and statutory sodomy amid the investigation.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has identified the victim as his daughter, 4-month-old Harmoni Greene.

SLMPD responded to a call in the 1500 block of Olive Street on Monday after a report of an unresponsive child. Harmoni was later rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

A Child Abuse Unit assumed the investigation, which led to an autopsy. The autopsy revealed that Harmoni had suffered a skull fracture, broken ribs, and internal injuries. Investigators say her injuries were consistent with physical and sexual abuse.

The Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Harmoni died from blunt force trauma to the head and torso, classifying her death as a homicide.

Police requested a warrant for Jordan Greene’s arrest on Friday, according to Missouri court records.
