WENTZVILLE, Mo. – St. Jude Dream Home partners came together to celebrate and commemorate all the work poured into this year’s home in Wentzville Wednesday.
Builders, contractors, and sponsors all participated in the floor signing, signing a banner at the celebration.
This year’s home is a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath, 3,100-square-foot house in Wentzville.
“We look at it as a great opportunity for us to support St. Jude,” Shaw Industries Territory Manager Cody Larson told FOX 2. “We couldn’t have a better charity that we would like to support.”
This year, they hope to set a record by selling 16,500 tickets in the giveaway. In 2023, over $1.5 million was raised through the sale of 16,000 tickets.
“We know that it costs almost $2 million a day to keep the doors of the hospital open,” Carrie Iddings, the Fischer Homes communications manager, said. “So, whatever little part we can do, we will.”
It’s the 15th dream home Fischer Homes has built in the St. Louis area. Lathon Ferguson with St. Jude said the dream home program is a win-win for the community and the patients at St. Jude.
“With the chances of spending $100 for a $600,000-type home, it’s a win-win because it’s a fun way to support the children’s and families of St. Jude,” Ferguson explained.
Tickets for the home go on sale June 6. All the money raised will go towards helping save lives.
“Finding cures, saving children is not just a tagline, but it’s a way of life and it’s what we do,” Ferguson said.
Open house tours start next month from July 13 to August 14.
