Friday, May 17 

  • SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting chair yoga at 10:30 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Admission is $3 and SilverSneakers is accepted.
  • SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting ZumbaGold at 11:30 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Admission is $3.
  • The Affton Community Center, 9801 Mackenzie Road, is hosting open pickleball from noon – 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 – 3:15 p.m. Admission is $2 per person or free for Renew Active and SilverSneakers members. Reservations start Monday at 8 a.m. by calling 314-615-8822.
  • Crestwood is hosting a “Star Party” at Crestwood Park, off Meadowfern Drive, from 7 – 9 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets and meet the St. Louis Astrological Society on the softball fields to take turns exploring the sky above. The equipment will be provided and available for everyone. Coolers, snacks and drinks are welcome, but no glass. No registration is necessary. 

Saturday, May 18 

  • Share your garden and gardening knowledge with your neighbors at the “Plant Swap” hosted by the Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way, from 10 – 11 a.m. Bring outdoor or indoor plants, cuttings, seedlings or seeds in labeled containers to swap.   • Affton Christian Church, 9625 Tesson Ferry Road, is hosting a free community block party from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Lots of games, free food and live music. Local police officers, firefighters and EMTs will be there to assist with the Bike Rodeo and answer questions. The event will also feature free car seat and bike helmet safety checks, along with free helmet giveaways and free drawings for bikes.
