Six Parkway students earn perfect ACT scores

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — Six Parkway students across 3 high schools have scored a 36 on the ACT college admissions and placement exam taken in April, the highest possible score on the exam.

The following students include:

  • Parkway Central High
    • Jemuel Lee
    • Grace Li
    • Zeidan Reza
  • Parkway South High
  • Parkway West High
    • Will Gonsior
    • Gavin Hughes

The composite score of 36 signifies that the student has mastered all of the skills and knowledge expected to succeed in the first year of college courses.

The ACT consists of tests in the categories of English, mathematics, reading and science, each scored on a scale of 1–36. A student’s composite score represents the overall average of the four test scores.

About one-quarter of 1% of students who take the ACT receive a top score. In the U.S. high school graduating class of 2023, only 2,542 out of 1.39 million students who took the exam earned a top composite score of 36.
