Rock slams onto car on I-64, St. Louis driver forced to pay hundreds

A spider crack now stretches across Jonah Munzer’s windshield.

A drive on Interstate 64 near the Hampton Avenue exit on Friday was cut short after Munzer’s car was hit by a large rock, costing him hundreds in repairs.

Munzer said he left St. Charles and was driving to his St. Louis home when the incident happened.

“I was driving home eastbound on 64. Clear night, there weren’t many cars around me and as I was driving under the Hampton bridge is when the rock fell or was thrown,” Munzer added. “This car has been in my family forever!”

The sudden impact startled him.
