Riley Strain’s family requesting second autopsy

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A second autopsy will be done on Riley Strain, the Mizzou student who went missing from a Nashville bar earlier this month.

NewsNation reports that Strain did not have his wallet on him. In addition, he was not wearing his pants or boots when his body was found in the Cumberland River last week.

A preliminary autopsy did not reveal any signs of foul play. Strain’s family has now ordered a second autopsy.

There are no results from the toxicology report yet. According to Chris Dingman, a family friend, he told NewsNation that the first autopsy showed the 22-year-old did not have water in his lungs.

A funeral is being held for Strain in his hometown of Springfield, MO, Friday.
