Records show Riley Strain only served one drink at bar

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Friday night will mark one week since 22-year-old Riley Strain was last seen while on a fraternity trip in Nashville, and there is new information being released to the public.

Strain and his fraternity brothers were at Luke’s 32 Bridge on Broadway Street March 8. The Mizzou student was escorted out of the bar and told his friends he was going back to the hotel.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Surveillance video has surfaced over the week, showing Strain walking in the opposite direction of the hotel and instead toward the Cumberland River.

Many have taken to social media to accuse the bar of overserving the 22-year-old, but it is now known that the bar only served him one drink in addition to two waters.

“Our records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic drink and two waters…He was followed down the stairs with one member of his party. The individual with Riley did not exit and returned upstairs,” a statement from the bar Friday said.

The bar also said they have provided all possible information of Strain’s visit including security footage, photos of Riley at the establishment, transaction records, and staff accounts.

“We proactively engaged in communication with the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission and will continue to communicate and provide any records needed to aid their ongoing investigation,” the bar said.

Anyone with information on Strain’s whereabouts is urged to contact 615-862-8600.
