The city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, may be known for its inclines, but it also has a fascinating light rail system. The system opened in 1985, but uses a combination of old streetcar and railroad infrastructure dating back to the 1800s. It also features the only shared bus and rail tunnel in the United States.
