Officer-involved shooting near Metro station, suspect injured



ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a suspect shot in the chest Wednesday evening.

According to officials, the incident involved a St. Louis Sheriff’s Deputy and a male suspect. The shooting occurred at 401 S. 14th Street in St. Louis, which is where the Metro Civic Center Station is located.

The deputy was not injured in the shooting. The suspect is said to be conscious and breathing.

Metro announced that all routes that serve Civic Center will be routed to Union Station temporarily.
