New video of missing Mizzou student

NASHVILLE, TN — Investigators are intensifying their efforts to locate a missing University of Missouri student, Riley Strain. Newly released surveillance video footage captures a concerning moment. It shows Strain stumbling near Second and Church Streets, before regaining his footing and continuing on his path. Moments later, another video timestamp shows him crossing First Avenue North, approximately a quarter mile from where he was last seen. Since these sightings, there has been no further contact with Strain.

Strain vanished during a fraternity trip to Nashville on a Friday night. He was expelled from a bar at around 10 p.m., crossing the street near 1st Avenue and Gay Street, looking visibly disoriented—a detail that has alarmed family and friends. A member of his Delta Chi fraternity reported his disappearance on Saturday morning.

The University of Missouri Director of Public Affairs, Christian Basi, acknowledges the limited capacity the university has in managing private, off-campus events but emphasizing their commitment to providing support. The incident has left the campus community shaken, with students expressing their fears and concerns over safety.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact either the University of Missouri or the Nashville police at 615-862-8600, as the search for Riley Strain continues.
