MoDNR invites entries for annual photography competition



JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is hosting a photo contest, with submissions open from April 1 to September 1. Winners will be featured on social media and the department’s website.

Photographers of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to participate in the 11th annual MoDNR photo contest.

Entries must showcase Missouri’s natural resources and be taken within the state. Contestants can submit entries in the following categories:

  1. Natural Resources: Photographs depicting Missouri’s air, landscapes, and waterways.
  2. Unique Places: Photographs taken within Missouri’s state parks and historic sites. For a list of all parks and sites, visit mostateparks.com.
  3. People Enjoying Missouri’s Outdoors: Photographs capturing people enjoying and exploring Missouri’s natural beauty.

A panel of judges will select first, second, third, and honorable mention winners for each category after the contest deadline. Winning entries will be featured across multiple platforms, including the department’s social media accounts and website.
