Missouri Representatives debate $50B state spending plan

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – In January, Gov. Mike Parson sent budgeting requests worth nearly $53 billion to lawmakers. Since then, $2 billion has been cut from the proposal.

Later this week, the House plans to give final approval to the spending plan, then send it over to the Senate, which will have less than six weeks to make changes before handing it to the governor’s desk.
