ST. LOUIS COUNTY – A man is left dead after a shooting occurred during a firework gathering in Glasgow Village Thursday night.
The incident happened a little after 10:20 p.m. as officers from the North County Precinct responded to a call for a shooting that occurred on the 10200 block of Valley Drive.
When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police say the victim was attending a firework gathering that had heavy attendance when he was shot.
The investigation is ongoing.
