It’s been a year since a Hermann police officer was killed in the line of duty. Officer Mason Griffin was shot and killed while trying to arrest 35-year-old Kenneth Simpson on outstanding warrants.  Another officer, Adam Sullentrup, was shot in the head and spent months recovering from the serious brain injury.

Tonight, the Hermann community is having a vigil to mark the year since the shooting. It’s at 7 p.m. at the Riverfront Park.
