Glasgow Village man sentenced for role in 3 homicides

ST. LOUIS – A Glasgow Village man appeared in St. Louis Circuit Court on Monday and was sentenced for his role in three murders.

Dashaun Ewing pleaded guilty last week to three counts of second-degree murder. He was initially charged with first-degree murder, but prosecutors amended the murder charges and dismissed counts of armed criminal action and evidence tampering in exchange for his plea.

Arie Bagsby, 20, and Omar Harris, 21, were gunned down on July 13, 2020, near Lindell and North Grand boulevards in Midtown, just outside St. Francis Xavier College Church.

Kyle Falker, 15, was shot and killed on July 11, 2021, at the Preservation Square apartment complex in the 1300 block of North 14th Street in the Carr Square neighborhood.

Ewing admitted in court that he drove others to and from each of the shootings.

As a result of the plea deal, Ewing received concurrent 20-year terms for the murders of Bagsby and Harris and a consecutive 10-year term for Falker’s death.

A circuit court judge said these sentences will run concurrent with Ewing’s 78-month federal prison sentence, which he began serving in July 2023 for conspiracy to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.

Ewing’s co-defendant in the Falker murder, Stanico Jordan, 19, was sentenced in December 2023 to 22 years in prison. Jordan, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, was certified as an adult to stand trial. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in that case.
