ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Welcome to summer, officially. Thursday is the Summer Solstice, and we will welcome the new season officially with big heat. Sunshine and highs in the mid-90s.
We will be knocking on the door of 100 Friday and Saturday afternoon, with afternoon peak heat indices at or above 100.
A cold front will bring a chance for showers and storms on Sunday morning. Top temps barely dip behind the departing rain before we climb back towards 100 early next week.
