ST. LOUIS – A man who threatened employees at a south St. Louis gas station appeared in federal court on Wednesday for sentencing.
Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Richard Skinner, 45, was arrested on March 27, 2023, following a dispute at the BP Gas Mart in the 1100 block of South Kingshighway Boulevard, located in the Kings Oak neighborhood.
Employees told police Skinner took out a gun and threatened them during the dispute.
Police arrested Skinner after a brief struggle and found a pistol in his possession.
Skinner has prior convictions for cocaine conspiracy, forgery, and robbery.
Skinner pleaded guilty in December 2023 to a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A U.S. District Court judge sentenced Skinner to 100 months in prison.
