Expel Them! Rep. Cori Bush Introduces Resolution To Oust Members of Congress For Jan. 6 Involvement

Representative Cori Bush is proposing a way to celebrate the anniversary of the January 6th Insurrection; by expelling the congressional members who were involved in the deadly events.

In a tweet, Bush said her chamber should “commemorate the 1-year-anniversary of January 6th,” bypassing her House resolution HR. 25 to investigate and expel the members of Congress who helped incite the violent Insurrection at our Capitol.

The representative initially proposed the bill days after the events took place, and she has gained the support of over 50 members of Congress.

On Tuesday, a federal judge has refused to throw out an indictment charging four leaders of the far-right Proud Boys with conspiring to attack the U.S. Capitol.
