On “EWTN News Nightly” tonight: The first week of the Winter Olympics is wrapping up in Beijing. Associated Press International Affiliate Reporter, Philip Crowther, joins to share what it has been like being at the games and what he is seeing. And President Joe Biden joined 10 other world leaders on a call today to discuss Russia’s military buildup against Ukraine. The White House says both diplomacy and deterrence are still on the table. This comes as the president repeats his warning that any Americans still in Ukraine should leave as soon as possible. Meanwhile, in a video message for the 30th annual World Day of the Sick, Pope Francis called for effective medical care for everyone. Monsignor Charles Namugera from the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, joins to tell us more about this event, how many people are participating and what he hopes will come out of it. Finally this evening, Our Lady of Guadalupe Convent is located directly across from a Planned Parenthood clinic in St. Louis, Missouri. Sr. Sue Ann Hall and Sr. Delores Vogt run the convent and spend their days welcoming those who are seeking fellowship and want to pray for the end of abortions. Sr. Sue Ann Hall with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, joins to talk more about the convent and the reason for its location.
