This week I am joined by the wonderful Esther St Louis.

Esther has a career that spans over 15 years, beginning in an agency within investment banking before transitioning to in-house roles in 2013-2014. Her experience includes internal mobility, consulting, fintech, and a SaaS startup, with positions ranging from standalone and team contributor roles to a Head of TA.

Although Esther initially relied on LinkedIn’s easy apply feature, this didn’t produce great success, leading her to leverage her network by reaching out to former colleagues and bosses, as well as networking with new individuals on LinkedIn.

Based on the question posed by my previous guest, she emphasised the importance of good communication, transparency about objectives, and early visibility into business plans between TA and HR for effective planning.

Although it’s been a tough few months whilst searching, she has got a lot out of the TA community on a variety of forums and communities, and does feel like she’s not alone. It’s how we connected after all.
