Drying out on Thursday, storms continue on and off through Memorial Day

ST. LOUIS–Scattered storms overnight are lighting up the sky with lightning from metro St. Louis to the south early Thursday morning. Scattered showers and storms are expected to continue through sunrise.

The clouds will clear through the day, with temperature highs near 80 today. Thursday evening and most of the overnight look quiet. Wake-up temperatures are in the mid-60s.

Friday will be stormy once again, with a round of showers and storms expected in the morning and additional scattered storms in the afternoon and evening. Highs in the mid 80s.

For the upcoming Memorial Day weekend holiday, Saturday looks like the pick day. Mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s. Sunday again brings a widespread chance of showers and storms, starting in the early morning hours.

Memorial Day Monday will bring a spot-storm chance, but it easily gets 2nd place in best days.
