One of the St. Louis Cardinals’ top ten prospects, Delvin Perez was recently demoted from short-season Johnson City back to the Gulf Coast League, in order to better get a handle on his work with the bat. As you’ll see in this video, he’s very raw at the plate. In the field, though, Perez is as shrewd as they come for an 18-year-old, with quick, smooth actions and a cannon for an arm at shortstop that should have him sticking at the position for a very long time during his career.
