Complaint filed against Sam Page for trying to influence St. Louis County race

CLAYTON, Mo. – Missouri State Representative Gretchen Bangert is filing a federal complaint against St. Louis County Executive Sam Page.

The complaint is for allegedly trying to convince Bangert to drop out of a County Council primary by offering her a job in Page’s administration.

State representative LaDonna Appelbaum also told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Page asked her to tell Bangert to withdraw from the primary.

Bangert filed a complaint with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Missouri Attorney General.

Page has not responded to the accusations.
