ST. LOUIS — Cicadas are interfering with recess and bus drop-off and pick up schedules at Craig Elementary in the Parkway School District. They claim that for the past few weeks, students have been struggling to cope with the noisy pests.
The principal reports that they have implemented indoor recess and even conducted a vote to determine whether to hold the annual staff versus student kickball game indoors. The students have also learned many lessons about insects, including how to safely grill and eat them.
