Career Central: Free training to become an EMT, St. Louis job fairs



ST. LOUIS – There are several great ways to connect to a new career in this week’s Career Central.

Greater Ville neighborhood job and community fair
A job and community resource fair just for residents of the city’s 77th District Greater Ville neighborhood is scheduled for this week.

Fifty local organizations will be on hand to bring valuable resources and opportunities to the community.

It runs from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 23 at Farragut Elementary School Yard, located at 4025 Sullivan Ave. in St. Louis.

It’s hosted by the SLATE Missouri Job Center, in partnership with Representative Kimberly-Ann Collins.

Abbott Ambulance offers free training program
Have you always been interested in becoming an emergency medical technician? Now is your chance.

Abbott Ambulance is training EMTs at no cost and with pay. You do have to pass an eligibility exam, but a pre-test is available to help you prepare.

Candidates need to be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
