ST. LOUIS — Showers and non-severe storms have just about cleared the viewing area. The cold front that is moving through this morning will bring our temperatures down a bit for today only. Clouds will decrease through the morning, leading to plenty of sunshine this afternoon and highs in the low 90s.
The heat returns in full force for Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the mid-90s on Monday and approaching 100 on Tuesday. Thanks to increased humidity, heat index values will be 105+. Another cold front brings a chance of storms late Tuesday into the overnight hours.
This gives us a brief break from the heat on Wednesday and Thursday, but the heat and humidity increase again on Friday into the weekend.
