Bill O’Reilly responds to Jon Stewart’s hit job on Fox News Channel on his “Daily Show” program.
O’Reilly takes Stewart to task for taking a clip of him out of context, and implying that Fox News has “become liberal because we defend legitimate protesters” at health care town hall meetings. O’Reilly points out that 45% of Stewart;s audience is liberal. So Stewart has to play to his base “in order to retain his viewers.”
“He continues to dance down the liberal yellow brick road,” he says.”
O’Reilly stresses that Stewart is a “satirist” and argues that “some young people actually believe he’s presenting an accurate picture of the country on his program… and that is frightening.” He then said Stewart is welcome to come on “The Factor” anytime.
