Big turnout expected for Ainad Shriners Parade in Belleville 



BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Some Belleville residents are eager to see Friday night’s Ainad Shriners Parade.

Chairs were already in place early Friday morning. The annual event dates back to the 1950s and begins at 7:30 p.m. in downtown Belleville.  

A festival with food, live entertainment, and a car show takes place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are more than 100 groups participating in the parade and 12 food trucks for the festival on Saturday.

The Belleville Police Department may be using drone technology to assist in monitoring the popular parade and to ensure the safety of the participants and onlookers.
