BBBSEMO hosts its 3rd annual Battle at the Ballpark

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri (BBBSEMO) held their third annual Battle at the Ballpark Fundraiser at Busch Stadium on Saturday.

The event provides an opportunity to showcase the capability of mentorship and the importance of investing in the future of youth.

“It’s like you’re a kid again; you get to go and have fun at a baseball game at a baseball stadium, and instead it’s adults only. So that’s why it’s so much fun.” President and CEO of BBBSEMO, Kristen Slaughter, says. “For over 110 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been in this community. And with 800 people tonight, we’re just going to keep sharing the message of just one mentor can make the difference in the life of a child, and that’s truly what this is all about.”

Through the event, BBBSEMO aimed to raise $750,000 in an effort to support mentorship and youth development programs for the local youth in need.
