St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 3980 S. Lindbergh Blvd., held its ninth annual “Ashes to Go” event on Feb. 14 for Ash Wednesday, pictured above.
Drivers could choose to remain in their car, or to quickly step out for a brief prayer and imposition of ashes. Ashes were offered from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the north parking lot of the church.
Following the event, a “Soup Supper” and worship service were held to kick-off the Lenten Season.
