Arrest warrant issued in 2021 murder outside Downtown West nightclub

ST. LOUIS – Earlier this week, a St. Louis grand jury handed down an indictment for a 2021 murder outside a Downtown West nightclub, and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened before 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2021, in the 700 block of N. 15th Street.

Officers arrived at 15th and Washington and discovered a crashed Honda Odyssey with a person suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. That individual, identified as Sandro Bajric, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Bajric was 28.

Homicide detectives believe a fight at Europe Night Club escalated to the shooting. Investigators reviewed surveillance video in the area from earlier that evening.

Police and prosecutors claim Justin M. Ledoux, 27, could be seen on the video attacking Bajric, pulling him into the back of a van, and holding him while others punch him several times in the body. Another video allegedly shows Ledoux shooting at Bajric’s vehicle as he attempted to drive away.

Ledoux was charged with first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree assault, second-degree kidnapping, and two counts of armed criminal action. A judge decreed that once Ledoux is in custody, he’ll be held without bond.
