ST. LOUIS — Cardinal Adam Wainwright will kick off Monday’s eclipse festivities with a concert near Cape Girardeau, situated directly in the path of totality. Wainwright, accompanied by his band and other performers, will take the stage at the Rock’n’Roll Drive-In.
The event is an all day event, with Wainwright’s performance aligning with the eclipse. Tomorrow marks the release of his first album.
Chuck Stratton, the owner of the drive-in, reports an influx of inquiries and ticket sales from across the nation. Gates will open at 9 a.m., and tickets remain available.
