19-year-old’s death prompts police investigation in Cahokia



CAHOKIA, Ill — Police in St. Louis are currently investigating the death of a young adult in the Cahokia area, after the victim was discovered on March 23 in a suburban area.

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been assigned to investigate the death of Daniel L. Nunn, a 19-year-old who had been reported missing earlier. Nunn was reported missing to the Washington Park Police Department in Washington Park, Illinois, near Fairmont City.

Nunn’s body was found with gunshot wounds near the intersection of Melvin Drive and Lazarcheff Drive in Cahokia, Illinois. He was already deceased by the time police arrived at the scene.
